Below
is a custom built caster beam and spindle combo. It is a 5 inch narrowed
caster beam. The beam’s bottom tube is pushed forward similar
to caster shims on bugs. This is done to increase the caster camber
when turning, helping to eliminate bump steer. The spindles are a 5
inch drop nonflipped with 0 from stock offset, and of course modified
for Porsche Brembo brakes. These parts are all being installed on the
Wagenswesty, a 1965 dove blue Westy poptop. |

Wagenswest
narrowed bus beams are built using all new tubing and plate steel, we
do reuse some key German parts like the center pivot mount, torsion
springs and bearings. Although we can build 100 % new, we find that
you just can’t beat some of the OG German stuff. These beams can
be custom ordered up to 6 inches narrowed and powder coated. |
