Wagenswest Hostile Pentecostal "SOLD"
This is a June 1960 15 window, formerly a Pentecostal church
bus and it has been off the road for a good 30 years or so.
The chassis only has 90k but it was setting in Missouri so
it has rust THIS BUS IS RESTORABLE!
I got a hold of this bus awhile back and set out to drive
it 2500mls round trip to the VW classic in Irvine CA so we
first strengthened the frame rails with some boxing and a
latter brace so it could handle the driving after that we
went in to the suspension.
Front end is a Wagenswest 3 inch narrowed adjustable caster
beam with 5 inch dropped Porsche spindles and Porsche brakes
using Wilwood 4 piston calipers and a dual circuit master
cylinder with all new brake lines throughout . (One of the
smoothest driving front ends I have ever built, 100 mph one
finger on the wheel)
Rear end has a (freeway flyer 388 bus 4th) pre 68 type 3 transmission
with new wide five type three brakes and a set of Wagenswest
adjustable off set spring plates. (Drives great but pops out
of fourth sometimes and reverse is week but the tranny bearings
are great)
Suspension has a retail value of about 4,500
Engine is a 1968 1600 single port that runs really good.
Electrical works great since the bus only has 80k on the
chassis the controls are in just fantastic shape with new
cables, bulbs, head lights, battery every thing needed to
make it a good daily driver even the heater works.
Steering box is raised 1.25 inch and the steering is so smooth!
Has Wolfgang front safaris!!
Most all the glass is original.
It’s an early 15window with lots of history that drives
great now and is well worth restoring later.
